Billionaires and Climate Tech: Bill Gates’ Breakthrough Energy reveals promising results

Breakthrough Energy is a climate-focused initiative launched by Microsoft founder Bill Gates. In a forwarded report by the Microsoft co-founder, three specific areas were called out as worthy of bigger investments and attention. They are as follows: hydrogen fuel, carbon removal and storage, and electrical grids. The report was hopeful and solutions-oriented, highlighting the difficulties and obstacles that the researchers will face with these challenges. Breakthrough Energy has since invested nearly $2 billion into more than 100 companies for this research.
